CATHOLIC INVESTING    An Introduction To Catholic Investing

Careful investment in sound, good-value companies is a smart way to handle money. That's common knowledge.

Investing in sound, good-value companies that also respect Catholic values, offers both a smart way to handle money and the possibility of making this world a better place.

In his 1991 encyclical, Centesimus Annus”, Pope John Paul II made a statement that resounds across all Christian denominations, “...the decision to invest in one place rather than another, in one productive sector rather than another, is always a moral and cultural choice.”

As a dedicated Roman Catholic, I take the responsibility of that choice very seriously. That's why I follow the Socially Responsible Investment Guidelines established by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. That's also why that you can rest assured that I will always strive to make the best moral and cultural choices when it comes to selecting the companies your money will support.

Joining with other members of the mystical Body of Christ and investing in a way that reflects Christian values, I believe that through careful investment selection, Christian investors can not only succeed financially, they can bring the Good News to fellow shareholders, corporate cultures, and the world-at-large.

My personal desires are these:

• To be a successful and faithful steward of investor resources
• To make Christ's voice heard in the marketplace

Because when His voice is heard, amazing changes can take place.
